HOW TO USE THE 1% Vitamin B-5 Fine Hair Conditioner

It works, but you need to find your happy medium!
I have switched to using Act+Acre haircare products exclusively, and I love all of them, but I did find the conditioner came with a huge adjustment period (similar to the shampoo). It's not a heavy, thick conditioner by any means, so I've found following the brand's directions of leaving it on the hair for at least 5 minutes (minimum) is definitely necessary. I use is every other day, otherwise my hair does feel rather dry at the ends. What I've started doing recently is applying the conditioner to my hair about 15-20 minutes before I wash it, then leaving it on as I go through the rest of my shower routine, before rinsing the conditioner out (I only use the Act+Acre shampoo on my scalp and crown, not the mid-ends of the hair). This has definitely helped with making the conditioner more effective. For context, I have shoulder-length, fine hair and find leaving a hair oil in just makes my hair oily, so this method is working better.

Didn't work for my hair
I switched to all Act + Acre products about a year ago as my fine long hair was breaking and looking very dull. I started with the conditioner and shampoo and found that the conditioner just didn't work for me. My hair was super dry and almost felt coated. I tried for 3 months and switched from the conditioner to the mask and that made a huge difference. Now I just use the shampoo and mask in place of conditioner and it's perfect. As a note, my mom really loves the conditioner which is why I gave it 3 stars as I feel you have to have the right hair type. Her hair is fine and curly and mine is long, fine and I have lots of hair. So I think it just depends on your hair type as to whether this will work as it's not like a typical conditioner (which is the point lol!).

It’s not super-rich conditioner, but that’s fine for my hair.
I’ve only used this a few times, but so far so good.

Not for me
Wanted to love but didn't work for my hair (strands are thin but lots of it) - my hair looks greasy and feels heavy after using...and somehow dry at the same time. Tried using less, different water temperatures... didn't help.

Hi Megan, I just saw your review for the Act+ Acre Hair conditioner on our website and wanted to try and trouble shoot some issues you may be having with it. When you say your hair is greasy from the conditioner are you putting it on your roots or just your ends? Let me know i would love to try and help you love this product! x Olivia Colacci Founder Twentyseven

Not the best for curly hair
I love their Restorative hair mask, the shampoo and their scalp detox, I was somewhat dissapointed by this conditioner. It just isn’t nourishing enough, I have very healthy hair and wear my natural curls most of the time, they look lovely after the Hair Mask but are very flat, dry, and tangle easily after this conditioner. I tried to apply it on all the hair, in sections, in the shower, outside the shower, this conditioner just isn’t powerful enough for me.
