WHY DOES MY LIPJAO SMELL DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE?
Jao only uses essential oils and not synthetic fragrance. You might notice a slight fragrance variation from batch to batch. This is because the essential oils are made from plants and each growing season there are changes due to weather, moisture and sun.

WHY IS MY LIPJAO A GRAYISH/BROWN COLOR?
Jao Brand uses only natural oils and butters to create the creamy LipJao. Colour can range from creamy yellow to light gray.

Yes, zinc oxide can potentially cause oxidation and discolouration in a lip balm formula including butter, leading to a grayish hue after a few weeks. Zinc oxide, while safe for cosmetic use, can react with certain ingredients, especially when exposed to air and light, causing the butter to turn grey or brown.

ARE THERE ANY ALLERGENS IN LIPJAO?
Some users might be sensitive to essential oils in LipJao: Vanilla, Tea Tree, Anise Star and Palmarosa with not added, but naturally occurring in the essential oils Limonene, Linalool, Farnesol, Citral and Geraniol. Also, please note that while some fruit, like Mango, contains the allergen urushiol, an oil that can irritate, LipJao only contains Mango butter from the mango seed which does not contain urushiol. Those with nut allergies, pleases check with your health professional.
