Huile de Magnolia was created in 1980 by Jean-Marie Greyl at the request of his wife Leonor, who wanted a special oil to use while massaging clients’ shoulders during their hair and scalp treatments at L’Institut in Paris. Jean-Marie, who was never satisfied with the minimum, created a multi-use oil that richly hydrates and soothes skin, prolongs tans and removes makeup. He infused the blend with an exquisitely addictive scent of magnolia flowers. To name this new creation, his daughter Caroline suggested “magnolia,” because at the time she was a fan of the Claude François song “Magnolias Forever.” Today, this exclusive natural oil for face and body beauty treatments has a cult following around the globe.
