Welcome to Twentyseven, a creative hair and makeup space designed and executed by international hair and makeup artist Olivia Colacci.
A Toronto native, fascinated by the fashion industry from a young age, Olivia set out to chase her dream at 18 when she left home to take up a hair and makeup scholarship in Milan, Italy. Upon graduating, her skills quickly found a home backstage as part of some of the industry’s biggest teams at Fashion Week events across the globe. For 8 years, Olivia travelled the circuit, spending time in New York, London, Milan and Paris, working with top models, and fashion houses on runway shows, as well as editorial and campaign shoots. Olivia can count shows by CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON, ALEXANDER MCQUEEN, GUCCI and PRADA amongst her extensive portfolio of runway work.
She then began dedicating more time to advertising, print and digital media, and taking over fifty flights a year working in remote and exotic locations ranging from Chile to Monaco, Mexico to Finland. With advertising clients such as GUCCI, and editorial work for the prestigious pages of VOGUE and MARIE CLARE.
At age 23, Olivia bought a house in South Beach, Miami after falling in love with the laid-back beach lifestyle. Constantly inspired by the world around her, it was in the juxtaposition between the high-energy fashion industry and her new surroundings in this relaxed, bohemian and artistic community that the first conceptual seeds of her own studio were sewn. Olivia began sketching out ideas for a space that would combine the tranquil environment of an artistic coastal community with the comforts of a familiar city. Over the next five years, her vision evolved into what is now Twentyseven. A mixture of her own style, inspirations from her travels, Art Deco from her home in South Beach and with touches of her roots right here in Toronto. A true labour of love years in the making, the studio was built in collaboration with her siblings, with every detail hand-picked and countless hours spent carefully curating colours, textures and decor. The result is a warm, cozy and inviting space to be enjoyed by her diverse clientele.
The curated brands and products that now find a home in Twentyseven are tried, tested and true. With over ten years in the industry and Olivia’s close personal network of top tier beauty professionals, Olivia is sharing her vast knowledge of product excellence with her clients. This unique selection also boasts environmentally conscious values, with a mindful effort to be as green, organic and eco-friendly as possible. Olivia passionately believes in making beauty as sustainable as possible and works with Green Circle Salon's recycling program.
In addition to offering hair and makeup services, Twentyseven is a place to bring community together. Artists, creatives and entrepreneurs collaborate and express themselves, hosting a vast selection of niche educational events, seminars, and workshops, open to all who are interested in learning behind-the-scenes techniques from the fashion industry’s leading professionals.
