We’re so excited to welcome Brooke Sovdi (@brookesovdi on IG) to the Twentyseven team! Brooke brings well over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, with an impressive career spanning film, television, and fashion. 

Brooke’s journey in the beauty industry began back in 2008. Over the years, she’s built a vibrant career working across the worlds of film, television, and fashion. Originally hailing from the west coast Brooke has had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with some amazing teams all across Canada. You might even spot her work on some of your favourite shows! She’s worked on HBO’s Peacemaker, Yellowjackets, and Suicide Squad 2, to name a few. 

Brooke's love for beauty started early, she grew up mesmerized by hair and makeup in magazines and films, constantly experimenting on her Barbies, her sister, and eventually herself. With two aunts in the industry, she had no shortage of inspiration and spent hours poring over Kevin Aucoin’s Making Faces, learning techniques before she even set foot in a salon.

Now, as a seasoned stylist, she specializes in blended blonding, bright and dimensional brunettes, event hair & makeup, and Hot Head Extension applications. Brooke is passionate about helping you feel your most beautiful self.   Her approach? Relaxed, effortless, and always tailored to her client’s unique style.

Outside of the salon, you’ll find Brooke deep in a good book, discovering new music, or cooking up something delicious for her friends and family. She’s a big fan of reformer pilates, biking, gardening, and if you ask her about her biggest fangirl moment? That would be doing hair & makeup for Liza Weil (aka Paris Geller from Gilmore Girls). As a proud auntie to two energetic boys, she’s never short on love and laughs. Oh, and she’s got a cat named Norah Jones who’s pretty much the queen of her world.
