The Small Forsythia, a stunning botanical creation meticulously handcrafted by Golden Age Botanicals in her Toronto studio. Each bloom features tiny stamens bursting with lifelike pollen, nestled in the center of vibrant yellow petals, creating a remarkably realistic portrayal of this sunny spring shrub. Displayed on a solid wood plaque hand-painted in a pale shade of celadon green, this charming keepsake exudes timeless elegance. All efforts are made while designing to ensure the longevity and durability of this artwork. It should be displayed away from direct sunlight to prevent colours from fading, and away from any moisture or direct heat. It can be cleaned with a light duster, or a hairdryer set on cold and at the lowest setting, held 18-24” away.

This flower is made entirely with paper: hosho rice paper for the leaves and crepe paper for the blooms and buds.

The paper has been painted by hand with the finest artist grade acrylic paint, and has been sealed with a satin acrylic varnish to ensure durability.

All elements are wired to ensure the longevity of this flower’s shape.

Please note: this is an entirely handmade item, made with natural materials. Due to this, minor imperfections may be visible in the display plaque (small nicks, knots in the wood etc). All efforts have been made to ensure that these blemishes do not distract from the beauty of the finished composition.
