Helen Kenny

We’re delighted to welcome Helen Kenny to the team here at TwentySeven. Helen comes to us with ten years of experience at the leading edge of hairstyling. Originally from Ireland, upon graduating hairdressing college Helen set off to New York to make her way in the industry. After spending years in NY learning from and working with top hairstylists on high end fashion shoots for magazines such as L’Official, she decided to head north to Toronto.

Helen quickly made her mark in the Six, soon becoming the go-to hairstylist on music video’s for global artists such as Miguel, The Weekend and MIA. While Toronto is now her home, she still works internationally as an integral member of top hair teams on shows such as Philim Lim and Cynthia Rowley. Helen has also worked with some of the worlds top fashion photographers (Pamela Hansen, Albert Watson) and models (Alexa Chung, Izabel Goulart) and continues to be an integral part of NY fashion week.

Constantly drawing inspiration from the world around her, Helen quotes Toronto’s unique street style and diversity as two of the main aesthetics that keep her in the city and her creative energy flowing.

We’re so happy that Helen will be with us here in the studio on Fridays and Saturdays.

 Kristen Patterson

They say good things come to those who wait and after finally ending our exhaustive search to find the perfect third stylist  here at TwentySeven, we couldn’t agree more.
Kristen comes to us with an impressive  resume of work in both the fashion and  hairstyling worlds. After studying at Aveda in Toronto, Kristen then completed  multiple further courses in all aspects of hair followed by an exciting period of study in London under the tutelage of London Fashion Week staple Charlie Cullen.
Before finding her passion for hair, Kristen studied fashion design and trend history in Vancouver, eventually setting up her own jewelry brand which went on to feature in TV shows, Flare Magazine and British Vogue.
Drawing inspiration from her experiences in fashion whilst living and working on the West Coast she picked up some of that West Coast boho vibe. Kristen says "During fashion photo shoots in Vancouver, I found I truly loved the movement of hair! Creating a feeling based on the flow or texture. Being able to capture a moment with the right amount of volume or sexy tousle. Convertible top down, hair flying, care free hair. Finding inspiration from Kate Hudson to Blake Lively and the beachy look from the girls of blue crush.I love creating gorgeous locks with a casual rock n roll attitude of their own. "  With that background she’s obviously mastered effortless hair and does a killer beach wave making her the perfect fit here at TwentySeven! Check out her fantastic instagram @miss_solie and you’ll see exactly what we mean. Its also an amazing account to get inspired for your next haircut!
With her exceptional hair skills and diverse fashion background, we’re beyond happy to welcome the uber talented Kristen to our specially curated team and so excited for you guys to come in and meet her! She cant wait to give you the California hair you’ve been dreaming of!
